At James Street Group Practice, we aim to treat all our patients promptly, courteously and in complete confidence. We feel it is important you know to whom you are speaking, so our practice staff wear a name badge and identify themselves on the telephone.
Our team includes seven GPs and a qualified Nurse Practitioners. We also have three Nurses and three Health Care Assistants. In addition to this, as a training practice we also have (usually two) GP Registrars – qualified doctors who are training in General Practice. We are also a training practice for Foundation doctors – these are qualified doctors still in their formal hospital training, who also spend some time in General Practice. You may sometimes see one of these doctors.
This team is supported by an administrative team including a Practice Manager, Deputy Practice Manager, Medicine Manager, general administration, reception and cleaning teams.
We offer a full general practice service as well as specialist clinics for diabetics, asthma sufferers and those with heart disease. We also offer minor ailments and minor surgery clinics, a travel clinic, counselling, drug and alcohol services and child health and immunisation clinics
